Michael Ehret, Head of Global Talent Management at Johnson & Johnson, was the guest speaker at the Feliciano School of Business MBA Executive Speakers Series event on November 30th. Responsible for global talent attraction and development, Ehret focuses on various aspects, including succession management, talent acquisition, people analytics, talent mobility, performance management, and assessment. His role aims to enhance understanding of people through data and technology, nurture personalized growth, build capable leaders, and address talent gaps.
Previously, as Head of Succession Management and Assessment, Ehret advanced diversity in the leadership pipeline and identified emerging leaders. He also held roles as Head of Human Resources for $20B Commercial Franchises within Medical Devices, Vice President of Human Resources for non-manufacturing parts of Supply Chain (20,000 employees in 80 countries), and Vice President of Talent Development, overseeing global Leadership Development, Learning, and Talent Mobility.
Before joining Johnson & Johnson, Ehret worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb and CIGNA, holding various HR and talent management positions. He began his career in the CIGNA HR Leadership Development Program. Ehret holds a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Change Management and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. He also has a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, with a focus on Finance and Marketing.
