(L to Right) Student Dan Mackle and Director Matt Williams give a thumbs up after loading in a real Chevy K-10 flatbed for the Carrie set.

The Department of Theatre and Dance kick off their 2017-18 season with a rousing production of the musical Carrie, an adaptation of the novel turned movie by best-selling author Stephen King.

The cast and crew are working furiously to prepare for their opening this Friday, October 20th at 7:30 pm in the Memorial Auditorium.

Filled with special effects and scream inducing gore, Carrie is directed by Matt Williams, a successful Off-Broadway director/choreographer and features a dynamic student cast. This spectacle driven musical boasts a monster set, including a real flatbed from a ’72 Chevy K10, and is designed by faculty member Shoko Kambara and student assistant Robert Dietz.

The show runs from October 20 thru October 28th and is a surefire way to enjoy some Halloween horror.
