Peak Performances’ 2016 – 17 season features world and American premieres of the best contemporary artists from France, Sweden, Ireland, Mexico, the UK and the US, as well as stellar performances by the Department of Theatre and Dance and the John J. Cali School of Music.

Fall Highlights

 

September 10 – 11

Department of Theatre and Dance presents Hearts of Men, a multi-generational dance project for men of all ages directed by Fredrick Earl Mosley.

 

 

September 29 – October 2

French aerialist Raphaëlle Boitel takes flight with The Forgotten/L’Oublié(e), drawing inspiration from her circus background to create a dream world where she glides through the air in search of the man she loves.

 

 

October 6 -9

Sweden’s Cullberg Ballet stages the American premiere of Figure a Sea, new work from post-modern dance icon Deborah Hay featuring a sound score by composer Laurie Anderson.

 

 

October 14 -15

Don’t miss the John J. Cali School of Music’s very special Kaleidoscope 10th Anniversary Concerts.

 

 

October 19 -23

The Department of Theatre and Dance presents, Aida, the Tony Award-winning musical by Elton John and Tim Rice based on the Verdi opera of the same name.

 

 

October 20 – 23

The Abbey Theatre (The National Theatre of Ireland) honors the centenary of Ireland’s 1916 Easter Rising with a fresh and eerily relevant take on Sean O’Casey’s The Plough and the Stars, directed by Olivier Award-winning director, Sean Holmes.

 

How Do I Get Tickets? 

Montclair State undergraduate students get one FREE ticket to each show with valid Montclair State ID! You can visit the box office Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. or on performance days 10 a.m. to curtain. For all others, tickets are $20 for Peak Performances events and $15 for Peak Performances/College of the Arts events.
