Fall 2023 Richard Carboni Thesis Materials Award

Purpose of Award
- To support a high achieving senior with regard to special materials, supplies and related costs needed for their required thesis project and exhibition. (Note: May include but are not limited to, canvas, paints, glazes, fabric, framing, electronics, software, printing, professional fabrication, etc.)
- Amount of Award $150 – $300
- DEADLINES TO APPLY – December 1, 2023: For award use in Spring 2024
Applicant Eligibility
- Enrolled full-time at the time of applying (min. 12 credits, 9 credits if Student Teaching)
- Enrolled in a major in the Department of Art and Design
- Hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Completed a minimum of 90 credits, with the expectation of enrolling in a culminating Thesis course in the following semester.
- Able to show evidence of artistic/academic development and how the award will make a difference in the quality of the thesis project/exhibition.
How to Apply
- Complete the Richard Carboni Thesis Materials Award google form below. (Note: You must be logged into your montclair.edu account to avoid receiving an Error message.)
- Be prepared to upload: a) an Unofficial Copy of your University Transcript; b) a digital portfolio of 10-15 examples of your artwork; c) a narrative including a description and budget for your thesis project; d) a statement describing your goals/aspirations beyond graduation (150 words max); e) an updated resume
