2023 Cento Amici Scholarships Awarded
Posted in: College News and Announcements
Thanks to the generosity of Cento Amici (translation: 100 Friends), a community-based organization dedicated to supporting education in New Jersey, 13 College of the Arts’ students were awarded scholarships on October 5, 2023, at the Stone House at Stirling Ride.
The host for the evening was Teresa “Terri” Canderozi, spouse of the late Joseph Canderozzi. The scholarship the students received is now called the Joseph Canderozzi Cento Amici Scholarship. Joe served on the College of the Arts Advisory Board for nearly 30 years and chaired the board several times over those years. He and Terri Co-Chaired the Parents Council of the Annual Fund for several years, and he participated on the Steering Council of the University’s 1994 Capital Campaign. Joe was also an active member of Cento Amici, a community-based organization dedicated to supporting education in New Jersey, and served as its president for many years. He was instrumental in championing Cento Amici’s generous support of annual scholarship grants to deserving students at Montclair’s College of the Arts.
