Sarah Stonbely named director of Medill’s State of Local News Project

Sarah Stonbely, research director at the Center for Cooperative Media and a dedicated advocate for local news, has been named director of Medill’s State of Local News Project.
With her extensive experience in studying local news ecosystems and her passion for strengthening local journalism, Stonbely will take charge of the project’s nationally recognized research on local news deserts and emerging solutions.
We are obviously sad to see Sarah go, but we’re also excited about this amazing opportunity for her to build upon the groundbreaking research of Medill and explore innovative models for the future of local news.
