2 Photojournalism Students Win Awards in NJPA Statewide Press Contest

Students Emma Hot and Karsten Englander both won second place awards for photojournalism in the New Jersey Press Association’s annual contest for weekly newspapers, for work done in 2022.

Hot, who won second place in the Pictorial Category, and Englander won second in Feature, were students in Thomas Franklin’s photojournalism class, which had a class-wide photo essay project on the town of Montclair published in the Montclair Local newspaper in December.
