Q: What inspired your success?
A: I wanted to make sure that every day I get up for work, I’m going to a place filled with people whose work inspires me
Q: What is it you do at Matte Projects?
A: I work with the design team to produce creative assets for clients, this can range from pitch decks and social media content to user journeys and floor plans.
Q: How did you land this role?
A: I expressed interest to a friend of mine who had worked with the company previously.
Q: Were there any faculty or staff members that were particularly helpful during your time at Montclair State?
A: Anthony Inciong and Jun Li for replying when I pestered them over email and phone.
Q: What was the most valuable service or event that College of the Arts’ Career Services offered?
A: Allowing me to take internships that help me carve out my career path and allowing me to use them as credits toward my course of study.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: Dive even deeper into experience design and engage in thought leadership.
Q: What advice would you give to current and prospective students?
A: Be resilient. I’d be lying if I said finding an internship was easy, but it’s a blessing to know that what you need will be there when you get there.
