The Taubman Piano Festival begins Saturday, June 11th, 2016.

The John J. Cali School of Music Faculty Dr. David Witten and Sondra Tammam bring the Taubman Piano Festival to the Montclair State University campus on June 11th, 2016. The two-day festival features a series of workshops and classes for students and teachers of piano of all ages and levels, and two dynamic piano recitals which are free and open to the public.

The festival is dedicated to the instruction and understanding of celebrated piano techniques of pedagogue Dorothy Taubman, an innovator with an international reputation for her revolutionary concepts and principles on the art of playing the piano.  Lectures, workshops, and master classes led by Dr. Witten, Professor Tammam, and other instructors will be focused on the instruction, technique, and practice.

The piano recitals feature a winner of the Vladimir Horowitz Award and professor of piano at California State University Fullerton, Eduardo Delgado, and Rudolf Golez, world-renowned international pianist and piano professor at Philippine Women’s University.  The recitals will be held on Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th at 8:15pm in Leshowitz Hall.
