Industry knowledge. Networking with professionals. Hands-on experience in your chosen field. These are just a few of the reasons to complete an internship during college.
Long considered a way for recent college graduates to differentiate themselves from other candidates during a job search, internships are fast becoming the norm. Not to be left behind, Montclair State students regularly complete internships in their fields of study. These internships offer students a glimpse into their desired career and may help them hone in better on the specific type of position they want to pursue. The connections made during an internship may even help students land a job after graduation.
In an ongoing series, we’ll highlight undergraduates from each of the University’s schools and colleges who are already hard at work building their resumes and strong professional networks. From VH1 to The Rachael Ray Show and Seventeen magazine, check out the exciting internships students from the School of Communication and Media are completing this semester.
