American Public Media’s radio show Marketplace Morning Report with David Brancaccio, is broadcasting from the School of Communication and Media’s studios from August 26 through November 2015. The five daily reports will air from the Montclair State University campus while the show’s New York City studio undergoes renovation.
In September 2014, host David Brancaccio visited as featured speaker covering the rise of the do-it-yourself economy as a part of a Montclair Entrepreneurs Meetup event presented by the University’s Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship. Brancaccio was also a key guest in the 2011 live webcast from the DuMont Television Center which commemorated the 10th anniversary of September 11.
The School of Communication and Media welcomes the return of Brancaccio and is pleased to host Marketplace Morning Report during the fall 2015 semester. The production of the show will also be a unique opportunity for students, who will have hands-on experience in producing the weekday morning broadcast.
Marketplace programs are currently broadcast by nearly 800 public radio stations across the United States and are heard by more than 12 million listeners weekly. The programs focus on the latest national and international business news, the global economy and wider events linked to the financial markets.
