Department of Art and Design Faculty Member Performs at The Drawing Center in New York City

Department of Art and Design adjunct instructor Julia Elsas will participate in a collaborative performance at The Drawing Center in New York City on February 6th. The performance is part of a two-part series called Basement Performances curated by renowned composer and performer John Zorn, where Elsas and percussionist Kenny Wollesen will create an intimate sonic and visual performance with handmade instruments and an object-based installation.
Six cutting-edge multi-media performances at Basement Performances, running from January 29th to February 13th, will bring together improvised music with expanded cinema, and feature some of Downtown New York’s most adventurous musicians and visual artists.
