HOME Is What You Make It

This international exhibition will showcase the work of students from both Fine Art (Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art and Design) and Art & Design (Montclair State University) in each disparate location.

Twenty artists from New Jersey, USA, and Dundee, Scotland have worked remotely to produce a pair of exhibitions in tandem which explore a collective perception of ‘home’.

Our mission for this project is not only to portray a creative and multi-layered representation of “home” for students in different parts of the world but to build relationships and connections with one another whilst working collectively to showcase new work in a cohesive public exhibition. At the center of this exhibition, will be an offering of insight into the connections and partnerships that are gained from collaborating with students overseas.

The artists have carefully coordinated this project with virtual meetings every week whilst producing work to be sent to the USA and UK respectively.

• The show in the US will take place from April 1-9, 2023 (Gallery hours are 12:00-5:00 pm)
