Ian Honauer ’10

Ian Honauer ’10, a Fleet Supervisor at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business with a double concentration in Management and Marketing. After graduation, Honauer was fortunate enough to participate as an intern in the Enterprise Management Trainee Program. From there, he has been able grow within the company as a full-time employee.

“Montclair has definitely influenced me in a positive way,” says Honauer. While at Montclair State, he was involved in several organizations including Theta Xi Fraternity, the Student Government Association and as a student representative on the Board of Trustees.

Honauer notes that his fraternity is what opened many doors for him at Montclair State and beyond.

“Being that in my fraternity, it was mandatory for us to join another organization, I chose the Student Government Association and Board of Trustees,” explains Honauer. He expressed how being involved and attending an event led him to meeting a recruiter for Enterprise and fellow alumnus, Chris Fitzpatrick ’04.

After graduation, Honauer has stayed very involved as a recent graduate. He is a member of the Recent Alumni Network (RAN) Committee and was active on the Class of 2010 5 Year Reunion Committee, helping to plan their gathering at Homecoming 2015.

“I love Montclair State so much that I am coming back!” Ian has been accepted into the MBA Program here at Montclair State University. After earning his MBA, he hopes to continue to advance his career at Enterprise.
