As we enter a new fiscal year, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support. Your generosity directly benefits our students and the entire campus community by providing the resources needed for us to offer the best education possible in today’s ever changing world. We greatly appreciate your dedication and commitment to the University and we look forward to your continued support.

Here are some highlights from the past year!

Impact Montclair State

Since launching our crowdfunding platform, Impact Montclair State, we’ve raised nearly $77,000 from over 1,000 donors over 50 projects! Successful projects have included the WMSC Excellence in Radio Scholarship, Team Rocky: Behind the Scenes, MBA Scholarship Fund, EOF Book Fund and projects for our club sports teams.

Giving Tuesday

Montclair State University again participated in Giving Tuesday on November 27, 2018. Donors and friends like you stepped forward and made gifts for a combined impact of over $15,000 in support of Montclair State University. For every donation made, donors received a pair of Montclair State socks. The best part? For every pair of socks given away, a pair of socks were donated to the Red Hawk Pantry to help keep students warm in the winter. Thanks to you, over 100 pairs of socks were supplied to our students!

48 for Montclair State

On April 25-26, Montclair State broke records on our fourth annual Giving Day campaign, 48 for Montclair State! Together, over a 48-hour campaign, we raised over $118,000 from over 400 alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University— well exceeding our goal! Because you came together as part of the Montclair State community, all gifts added up to big change! Thank you for your continued support as we work to build an exciting hub of cultural and intellectual activity that enriches our students, our community and our state.

Leave Your Montclair State Mark

Funds raised from the senior class gift campaign went to the Emergency Scholarship Fund and Red Hawk Pantry among other areas on campus. Graduating seniors and their families and friends supported the campaign with commencement messages and gifts to the University throughout the year totaling nearly $5,000. The Emergency Scholarship Fund allows students who have fallen upon difficult financial circumstances to receive assistance in order to continue their education at Montclair State. Donations to this fund help to make a difference in the lives and experiences of Red Hawks for generations to come.

Phil the Pig

Faculty and staff participated in campaign to support the Emergency Book Fund. Over 100 “little Phil” piggy banks were handed out to employees at Montclair State. From administrators and professors to vice presidents and deans, proud donors filled their “little Phils” with loose change and bills to support students in need. To date, this ongoing campaign has raised almost $1,000 in change!
