Montclair State University’s Class of 1975 Gears Up for a Memorable Gathering
Get ready to reminisce, reconnect and rediscover!

Few events in life offer the chance to reminisce, reconnect and celebrate as class reunions do. For alumni of Montclair State University’s Class of 1975, the upcoming reunion is more than a social gathering; it’s an opportunity to relive cherished memories, rekindle old friendships and reflect on the journey that has unfolded since graduation.
“The campus may have grown by leaps and bounds since their time here, but what hasn’t changed is the great sense of community that is still shared by alumni and current students alike,” says Jeanne Marano, assistant vice president for Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement. “We are thrilled to be able to celebrate this milestone and invite the Class of 1975 back to campus to reconnect with each other and the University.”

Class reunions serve as a bridge between the past and the present, allowing former classmates to come together and celebrate their shared history. For many, these gatherings are a chance to catch up on life’s milestones — career achievements, family developments and personal growth.
“Wow—50 years since we walked across that stage at Montclair State! It’s incredible to think how far we’ve all come since the Class of 1975 tossed our caps in the air,” said Angelo J. Genova, Esq., Reunion Chair. “Planning this milestone reunion with the Alumni Engagement team has been a true joy, and we can’t wait to celebrate together on May 8 and 9. From leading the commencement procession for the Class of 2025 to revisiting campus and reconnecting over lunch, it promises to be a special experience. We look forward to seeing old friends, sharing stories, and reliving the memories that made our time at Montclair so unforgettable.”
This year’s reunion promises to be a special occasion. Scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2025, and Friday, May 9, 2025, members of the Class of 1975 will gather for the 50th anniversary of their graduation. In celebration of this milestone, reunion attendees will be invited to lead the procession during the University’s 2025 Commencement ceremony on May 8. The following day, May 9, attendees are invited back to campus for a range of reunion activities, including a morning coffee meet and greet, a nostalgic campus tour with a stop at the University Bookstore and a celebratory luncheon.
“Each year, our Alumni Engagement team has the privilege of sharing in the special 50th Reunion celebration, which is truly a highlight of our year,” adds Kara Baldwin Brennan ’92, director of Annual Giving and reunion coordinator. “The events are filled with pride and emotion. Our guests lead the Commencement procession wearing their gold 50th stoles, take a campus tour with stops at some of the locations fondly remembered from their time at Montclair and some amazing new ones and come together as we honor their milestone anniversary at the class luncheon. It is such a special time filled with nostalgia and joy! We cannot wait to celebrate with the Class of 1975!”

Traveling from a distance?
A room block has been reserved for guests on 5/7-5/9. Room rates are $149 per night +taxes for either a King or Double Queen room. This rate includes breakfast and access to a shuttle to campus only.
