Double Your Impact: Matching Gifts
Posted in: Alumni News and Events
Alumni know their gifts to Montclair State University have a powerful impact on the student experience. Many companies support a matching gifts program, allowing alumni to increase the impact of their giving. Matching gift programs are provided by companies in support of the philanthropic causes of their employees. Through these programs, companies match employee donations that are made to eligible organizations.
“Donors who access theirs or their spouses matching gift program can double or triple their impact to Montclair State students,” says Kara Baldwin Brennan ’92, Director of Annual Giving. “Every dollar translates to life-changing scholarship, opportunities, important faculty-student research and an even more vibrant campus. Both the donor and the matching gift corporation value higher education and we are extremely grateful for their commitment.”
These programs are a great way for companies to support higher education and a chance for graduates to double or even triple a gift to Montclair State. This past fiscal year, Montclair State was proud to receive gifts that were matched by companies including ExxonMobil, KPMG, Verizon and many more.
