Undergraduate Programs
BA in Visual Arts
The Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts is a pre-professional degree program that immerses students in a wide range of artistic media as well as focus on interdisciplinary production, digital creation, and entrepreneurship. There is also an emphasis on the liberal arts.
BA in Visual Arts, Art Education Concentration with Teacher Certification in Art (Preschool-Grade 12)
The Art Education Concentration is offered within the university’s Teacher Preparation program as a professional degree option that leads to the instructional certificate that qualifies students to teach Art in grades P-12 in New Jersey as well as our nation’s schools.
BA in Visual Arts, Art Education Concentration (Combined BA/MAT with Teacher Certification in Art (Preschool-Grade 12) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities)
This Dual Degree/Dual Certification option is a 5-year program that leads to a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree (BA and MAT) along with official certifications to teach Art to mainstream students and students with disabilities in grades P-12 in schools across the country.

Instructional Certification – Subject Area Certification (Preschool-Grade 12)
Students with a bachelor’s degree who are interested in teaching Art in schools, grades P-12, may pursue the Post-baccalaureate program which leads to initial teacher certification.
