The TELL minor is an opportunity to expand your professional skill set in a way that brings tremendous benefit to future students. Today nearly one in five students in New Jersey’s public schools comes from a home where a language other than English is spoken. Many of these students are in the process of learning English as a second language and require expert teacher support to achieve their potential in school. The TELL minor will provide you with the highly specialized knowledge and skills to work effectively with students who are English language learners. School districts are seeking teachers with this expertise.
