Jason Strother has instructed courses in the CCOM since 2011. He’s created the electives Disability Representation in Media, Audio Description Writing, Films About Journalism, and How to Become a Foreign Correspondent.

Outside of the classroom, Strother is a multimedia journalist and began his career in local news in New York and later freelanced in South Korea for various US and international news outlets. His work has been supported by the NJ Civic Information Consortium, the Fulbright Program, and the National Geographic Society. He is also an advisor to the National Center on Disability and Journalism at Arizona State University.

Strother holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Kent and is a 2003 Montclair graduate, where he earned a BA in Broadcasting.
