Sheldon Steiger is an acclaimed sound designer, music producer and audio engineer who has been active in the field of live sound and music technology for over twenty years. He graduated from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore with degrees in both piano performance and recording arts and science. His most recent appointments include a year and a half as production manager at Carnegie Hall and nine years as professor of audio and sound design at Western Connecticut State University. As a sound designer Sheldon has toured all over the US, Europe and Asia working with some of the most notable acts in music, theatre and dance. His tenure with Joe Jackson led to multiple tours and the production of several albums and concerts. Sheldon has also worked with Paul Simon, The Brooklyn Philharmonic, David Sanborn, Aaron Neville, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, American Composers Orchestra and countless other artists and performing companies. He has composed music for films, videos and video games. Most notably, Sheldon’s music appears in Mary Harron’s cult classic film, ‘American Psycho’.

Sheldon is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and the American Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers (ASCAP).
