Profile
My research interests deal with the biochemistry and molecular biology of parasite anti-oxidative stress responses. My group has been studying protein kinase signaling pathways important for parasite defense against host immune responses in the parasitic nematode, Brugia malayi, and the protozoal parasite, Leishmania mexicana. We have identified selective inhibitors of these protein kinases which may have therapeutic potential.
Specialization
Biochemistry of protein kinase signaling pathways. Protein kinase screening assays and drug development. Biochemistry of parasitic anti-stress responses.
