Profile
MEGHAN ROBISON (PhD, New School for Social Research, 2016) is Associate Professor of Philosophy. She specializes in Political Philosophy, Early Modern Philosophy and Feminist Theory. Her research examines the connection between human embodiment and authority in early modern political thought. She is at work on two book-length projects: The first examines figurations of parental authority in early modern social contract theory. The second gives an original interpretation of the link between life and agency in Hobbes' Leviathan. In connection to this project is her article: “The Appearance of Power in Hobbes’ Leviathan,” Scienza & Politica: vol. 31, no. 60 (2019). From Fall 2022-Spring 2023 She will be on Sabbatical / leave.
