Profile
Dr. Li received her PhD from the Department of Chemistry at The Graduate Center-City University of New York. Her graduate work focused on developing metal-free porous carbons as electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction. Her post-doctoral training is at the Department of Earth and Environmental Engineering, Columbia University, where she studied nickel-based catalysts to promote the gas phase reforming of biomass conversion and identified the fundamental pathways involved in the thermochemical conversion of brown seaweed to hydrogen. Dr. Li is a member of the American Carbon Society, the American Chemical Society, and the Electrochemical Society. She has authored or co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journals.
