Profile

Wing Shan Ho is an Assistant Professor of Chinese and Coordinator of the Asian Languages and Cultures Major in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Montclair State University. She teaches courses in the Chinese language and culture as well as Asian Studies.

Ho's research interests include Chinese film and media, modern Chinese literature, Gender Studies, Cultural Studies. She has published in Jump Cut: A Review of Contemporary Media, American Journal of Chinese Studies, Studies in the Humanities, and Feminist Media Studies. Her book Screening Post-1989 China: Critical Analysis of Chinese Film and Television discusses negotiation and control in the representation of subjectivities in Chinese film and television.
