Hallo! I am excited to be a part of the MSU community. Born in Nuremberg, Germany, I studied in Berlin and Zurich. Before going to grad school at Harvard, I worked and lived in Providence and New York City. I graduated in May, 2010 with a dissertation on time and literature. Before coming to MSU, I was a College Fellow at Harvard. At MSU, I am the coordinator of the German program. I teach classes from beginning German to advanced literature, culture and civilization courses all in German. Come talk to me about German classes, the German major and minor, as well as study or work abroad, summer programs, German film series, German talks on campus, or anything else. In any case, join the German Club at MSU and the German Listserv (send me an email).
Specialization
19th and 20th and 21st Century German Literature, German Film, Narrative Theory, Literature and Philosophy, Literary Anti-Semitism, Religion and Literature, Heimat and Migration
