Dr. Heidner is a biomechanist and motor control scholar. His work focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and how mTBI affects balance, upper- and lower-body motor control, and decision-making capability. He is also interested in research areas such as the development of motor and visuomotor paradigms in virtual reality and the application of scientific principles and processes to determine the true nature of human behavior in high stress and deadly force encounters.
