Beyond the post-colonial educational discourse-practice
This study focuses on the legacy of Dr. Francesc Tosquelles (1912-1994) on the reconceptualization of psychiatry vis-a-vis what constitutes normality, addressing the need to "cure" institutions by rethinking taken-for-granted treatments, routines, rules, and the role of practitioners, and to engage with the "occupied" mind, a result of the context of falangism, fascism, and nazism. Furthermore, notable scholars, such as Fanon and Guatarri, were his disciples. This study discusses and analyzes past and present educational practices in multiple institutional contexts, including the university, and numerous disciplinary ways of knowing by engaging in critical analysis.
