Profile
As a member of the Public Health faculty since 2015, Kurt Conklin, MPH, MCHES teaches undergraduate students and Masters-level students in a variety of courses. These include the MPH Seminar (HLTH 501), Social and Behavioral Aspects of Health (HLTH 204), Applied Statistics for Public Health (HLTH 425) and online, asynchronous elective courses under our 'Special Topics' designation (HLTH 347), such as Immigrant Health and Water, Life & Death.
A graduate of New Paltz College, State University of New York (BA '88) and Temple University in Philadelphia (MA History '91 and MPH '04), he has served as a public health professional in a range of settings. Among those are the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and also Bureau of Tuberculosis Control); SIECUS (Sexuality Information and Education Council of the U.S.), Student Health Service of the University of Pennsylvania, Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania, The Police Athletic League of New York City, and the Healthcare Chaplaincy.

Human sexuality education and sexual health promotion; immigrant health; environmental health (lead, water); tuberculosis control; history of public health.
