Profile
Dr. Robyn Becker is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Community Health at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. She has almost 30 years of experience as a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) across settings with children and adults. She holds an administrator’s credential in the area of special education supervision.
Most recently, she was a school-based SLP for 17 years with the opportunity to form deep and meaningful interprofessional relationships across disciplines.
Her research interests include:
-how articulatory gestures enhance early literacy outcomes particularly in authentic classroom based settings using an implementation science lens.
-strategies to enhance interprofessional practice with educators as well as forming parent partnerships.
-the scholarship of teaching and learning as it relates to both the service learning in the classroom and mentorship of early career professionals
