Dr. Ellie Abdi is a former gymnast, dancer, and coach who has held various academic roles from Pk to doctoral studies in American and French institutions. She has been a Clinical Faculty at MSU since 2013. Furthermore, Dr. Abdi was the Vice President of physical education for SHAPE-NJ and the chair of Diversity for SHAPE-America. She advocates on behalf of teachers and students before Congress in Washington, DC. regularly and takes assignments on curriculum design with the NJ Department of Education. She remains an editorial board member for several international scientific journals including France, Switzerland, Turkey, Kenya & US, in addition to livre de Lyon publishing in France. Dr. Abdi not merely is invited to many editorial journals, scientific committees, conferences, radio, and TV stations as an author, presenter, and keynote just as so her research, interviews, and articles have been published on sites and journals globally and domestically. An author of 3 books on education (1 translated to Farsi), a co-author of several chapter books on biomechanics, and chief editor of a medical research book, Dr. Abdi has published more than 50 research papers and has more than 100 citations. Her last historical book 'Farewell My Queens: From Marie Antoinette to Farah Diba' was published in 2022.
