Enhancing Our Student-Centered Campus
We want to connect the entire campus community to an environment that is conducive to 21st‑century teaching and learning. A core philosophy at Montclair State is to go beyond classroom instruction to educate the whole person. Here, students learn, compete and live as scholars, athletes, volunteers and leaders.
Learning takes place both inside and outside of classrooms. As part of our commitment to sustaining our vibrant community and educating the whole person, we want to keep expanding student life programs. We will improve the campus experience for all of our students, athletes and community visitors, with enhancements that include revitalizing College Hall – transforming our first campus building into a modern, central “hub” of activity.
To fully realize our vision to transform College Hall and improve our student experience through student life and athletic priorities, we need to raise $10 million.
Revitalize College Hall
The transformation of our campus will come full circle and culminate in a major effort to fully renovate and expand the space where our story began: College Hall. When College Hall emerges from its makeover, it will return to its roots as the central and integrated hub for the many complex services used by our 21,000 students and will be ready for another century of service to the University. True to our student-centric vision, it will house a host of student needs — from the registrar’s office to financial aid — in one location. The revitalization of College Hall will serve as the capstone to two decades of intense campus renovation and expansion.
