Profile
Dr. Alexandra Gaynor, Assistant Professor, earned her PhD in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience from the City University of New York, and completed her postdoctoral training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Columbia University Medical Center. Her research is broadly focused on understanding the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying memory and attention processes, particularly in older adults. Dr. Gaynor uses non-invasive brain stimulation, neuroimaging, and behavioral methods to investigate 1) the roles of disease history, lifestyle factors, and individual differences in neurocognitive function, and 2) the efficacy of non-invasive brain stimulation to improve cognitive function in healthy and clinical populations.
