Women Entrepreneurship Week 2016
WEW 2016 a success at Montclair State, around the world
Universities and nonprofits on every continent except Antartica held Women Entrepreneurship Week events during the third week of October 2016, making the third annual WEW celebration an international movement. Entities in 13 foreign countries organized a WEW event: Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Greece, India, Nigeria, Rwanda, Spain, Thailand, United States and Vietnam. WEW events were also held in several states (New York, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Texas, Missouri, Tennessee and Florida), as well as at 20 New Jersey universities and nonprofits. See the full list.
Montclair State celebrated Women Entrepreneurship Week with two events during the week that were free and open to the public. We had an all-star lineup of speakers at our two events.
At our evening event, an all-star panel of women discussed power and leadership at “Power Play: What Makes Women Great Leaders.” During the day, our WEW Conference was packed with content for women entrepreneurs and corporate execs, and the keynote speaker, Jen Slaw, juggled while explaining why women are master jugglers in their professional and personal lives.
