It included both virtual and face-to-face workshops (depending on pandemic requirements and school guidelines) as well as formal participation with the Feliciano School of Business’ StartUp Montclair 2021 Pitch Contest . Students worked 15 hours per week.
Dr. Peter Kingstone, Dean of CHSS, was the the faculty advisor of the program and the site supervisor is Dr. Nir Tsuk.
Dr. Nir Tsuk has led and developed the King’s College social entrepreneurship program with Dean Kingstone. He is a seasoned practitioner, academic and facilitator with over 20 years of international experience in the fields of social capital, entrepreneurship and culture of innovation. He is the Founder of The Institute for Impact and Intrapreneurship, and a Global Distinguished Scholar at New York University (NYU).
A maximum of 30 students participated in the program. Additional opportunities were available to work with the Feliciano School of Business’ Professor Jason Frasca, MixLab Co-Director, and Professor Liz Rich, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives. They provided information about how to develop an elevator pitch, legal requirements and how to obtain IP/Patents.
