Abstract
One way to linearize the properties of a finitely generated module over a noetherian local ring, is to build a free resolution.
In this way a module is approximated by a, possible infinite, sequence of free modules and linear maps. Properties of free resolutions encode properties of the ring itself and therefore are subject of extensive studies. In this talk we will present what are the finite invariants of free resolutions.
