Art and Design Day at the College of the Arts
Art and Design Day introduces college-bound students to Montclair State University’s Department of Art and Design. The event features a workshop, conducted by MSU’s Art and Design faculty. Students hear an Art and Design overview; learn about careers and portfolio reviews; and see students’ work. Learn the steps to becoming a MSU an Art and Design major and turning that experience into a life.

**Drawing For Your Portfolio,
This workshop introduces you to the fundamental principles of drawing objects in space. Designers and often artist too required to draw what they know, not want they see. We will cover basics of two-point and three-point perspective, effective composition methods, line weight and 3D geometry, by exploring how basic shapes make up the volume of various objects and what approach should be considered to visualize them correctly for your portfolio.
