If a butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil does this set off a tornado in Texas? Why are weather reports often incorrect? Join me as we answer these questions and more through a visually interactive introduction to the basics of chaos theory.
There will be a Pizza Reception prior to the seminar from 1:15-2:45p.m. in RI 224A
About Dr. Stanley R. Huddy
Dr. Huddy earned his BS in Mathematics from Montclair State University in 2005 and his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Clarkson University in 2013. His primary research focus is on dynamic behaviors and synchronization patterns on networks of nonlinear systems. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, rock climbing, and snowboarding.
