University Calendar

City of Angels, winner of 6 Tony Awards in 1990, is an affectionate musical nod to classic film noir detective flicks. With a jazz-influenced score by Broadway tune-master Cy Coleman, witty lyrics by David Zippel, and a stylish book by Larry Gelbart, the show follows the struggles of a young Hollywood screenwriter and the characters he writes - who just happen to mirror people in his own life. Director Mark Hardy and musical director Meg Zervoulis bring the show to life in a staged concert featuring 23 MSU students.
