Writer/Director David Seth Cohen Presents: FINDING SANDLER
David Seth Cohen is a writer, producer, director, editor, and actor. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on Long Island, Cohen currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and child.
Ever since he was a kid, Cohen loved to entertain people. By age 10, he began making films and performing live shows with his cousin for their family to enjoy.
When he was 11, Cohen saved up money to purchase his first video camera, the Fisher-Price PXL2000, which shot on cassette tapes.
At age 12, while at sleepaway camp, Cohen hosted his very own late-night radio show, The Dave Cohen Show, which he'd record on his boom-box using his bunk-mates as guests and live audience members after his counselors fell asleep.
In college, Cohen majored in Political Science and was gearing up to be a lawyer. During his junior year, while taking an intro to film class, his close friend, actor Brad Stoll passed away. This motivated Cohen to change his major to Mass Communications with a concentration in Film and Television, and to follow his dream of becoming a filmmaker.
Since then, Cohen has gone full force at achieving his goals. In 2000, he was hired as an associate producer for a Telly Award-winning debate show at The Catholic.
Faith Network, formerly Telecare TV, and within a few months, worked his way up to producer, then senior producer, and ultimately to executive producer, creating and running four additional Telly Award-winning shows.
In 2002, Cohen founded Precision Pictures LTD, a corporate video production company that has created award-winning branded content for organizations worldwide, and in 2014, he founded Legitimate Rascal Films, a company focusing on the development, production, and post-production of film and television projects.
Through LRF, Cohen produced the teen caper comedy, After School Special in 2015. Then, In 2022, he premiered his award-winning documentary feature film, Finding Sandler, which screened at ten film festivals, winning awards at four of them.
Today, Cohen is in development with a variety of other projects, including a high-concept animated action-comedy series for adults called Code of the Samurai, and an outrageous feature-length tennis comedy called The Ballboy.
